As much as we are enjoying ourselves with friends and family over the festive period, sometimes illness can get in the way. With a number of bank holidays across the period, GP and pharmacy opening times can vary - make sure you are fully prepared.

Pharmacy Opening Times

Many community pharmacies will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day and others will operate different hours from their usual times. All community pharmacies in Surrey will be displaying Christmas opening time information for their area when their pharmacy is closed.

The pharmacies listed below should be open over Christmas and New Year 2019 as shown. The details are correct at the time of publishing but are subject to change. You are advised to contact the pharmacy before attending to ensure they are open and have the medication you require.

GP Opening Times

GPs in North West Surrey will remain open during their usual hours on days leading up to Christmas but will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

For limited, pre-bookable extended access appointments in the evening and weekends, please contact your GP for availability. Please note that extended access appointments are pre-bookable only and patients are unable to ‘drop-in’.

For Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day, LIVI is available to all North West Surrey residents. LIVI is an online video consultation service, where local GPs can offer advice and refer you for further treatment when required via your mobile phone or tablet. Appointments can often be booked within minutes, and are held with a fully trained GP in the comfort of your own home, office or on the go. Simply download the LIVI app and enter the name of your GP Surgery when prompted to prove eligibility.
